A Google Marketing Platform reseller was processing more than 1,000 unstructured PDF invoices every month across multiple companies in its group. Finding the right invoices, reconciling them against platform data and preparing client billing was slow, manual work that took around 7 days each cycle. The business needed a faster, more accurate billing process that could scale and protect the profitability of its billing services.
The Solution

PM Dragonfly designed and implemented an AI-powered billing automation solution on Google Cloud, combining Document AI with proprietary validation technology to take the manual effort out of invoice reconciliation, with a final human check kept in place. The work focused on three key areas:

1. Ingest & Extract
Invoices are automatically ingested into Google Cloud and scanned with Document AI and proprietary code to extract key IDs and line-item costs from unstructured PDFs, making every invoice searchable and traceable.

2. Validate & Reconcile
Business rules and currency exchange are applied automatically, and each invoice is checked against Campaign Manager 360 and Display & Video 360 platform reports, which account for 99% of invoice volume.

3. Automate Billing Output
The solution calculates reseller markups and produces an invoice summary ready for final reconciliation, creating a simpler, faster finance process that scales across currencies, platforms and clients.
